Thought this was clever and sadly true:
If you have to get your parents’ permission to go on a field trip or to take an aspirin in school, but not to get an abortion — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If you MUST show your identification to board an airplane, cash a check, buy liquor, or check out a library book and rent a video, but not to vote for who runs the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If you can get arrested for hunting or fishing without a license, but not for entering and remaining in the country illegally — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If the government wants to prevent stable, law-abiding citizens from owning gun magazines that hold more than ten rounds, but gives twenty F-16 fighter jets to the crazy new leaders in Egypt — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If, in the nation’s largest city, you can buy two 16-ounce sodas, but not one 24-ounce soda, because 24-ounces of a sugary drink might make you fat — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If an 80-year-old woman or a three-year-old girl who is confined to a wheelchair can be strip-searched by the TSA at the airport, but a woman in a burka or a hijab is only subject to having her neck and head searched — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If your government believes that the best way to eradicate trillions of dollars of debt is to spend trillions more — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If a seven-year-old boy can be thrown out of school for saying his teacher is “cute,” but hosting a sexual exploration or diversity class in grade school is perfectly acceptable — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If hard work and success are met with higher taxes and more government regulation and intrusion, while not working is rewarded with Food Stamps, WIC checks, Medicaid benefits, subsidized housing, and free cell phones — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If the government’s plan for getting people back to work is to provide incentives for not working, by granting 99 weeks of unemployment checks, without any requirement to prove that gainful employment was diligently sought, but couldn’t be found — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If you pay your mortgage faithfully, denying yourself the newest big-screen TV, while your neighbor buys iPhones, time shares, a wall-sized do-it-all plasma screen TV and new cars, and the government forgives his debt when he defaults on his mortgage — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.
If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you more “safe” according to the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots

Smith & Wesson arming America
After reading this article, Record sales for S&W I have the impulse to comment and spread my opinion.
Why are gun sales so good even though there has recently been many tragedies lately about gun violence. In my opinion, it is not only the feeling that the government is attempting to restrict the 2nd Amendment rights of law abiding citizens. There is also a large mistrust of government has a whole. I have lost count of how many scandals or as the left wants to call them, issues, has come up lately. First it was Benghazi, then the IRS and the DOJ, following with the NSA and the Snowden issue. China and Russia have demonstrated that the US has become a paper tiger under Obama. I am sure I have left some issues out.
I speculate that many feel that it is just a matter of time before the need to have arms to protect their family is just around the corner once anarchy and or a police state smothers this country.

First, the Keystone Pipeline has been delayed indefinitely. Secondly, the gulf of Mexico oil development has been slowed. Now, the president has declared war on coal. This country is run on energy and every attempt to develop current sources is hampered while the rest of the world is gobbling up these sources.
Our influence in the world is declining. Just look at the way China and Russia has responded to The NSA Snowden issue. Our influence is rapidly declining in this world. Thanks!

Anarchy in the Future?
Many articles in the news these days is about people who disobey laws. For example, The NSA Edward Snowden leaks classified information to the public about possible illegal acts of the NSA with no regards to possible espionage law breaking.
A majority of the Colorado sheriffs say they will not enforce the new gun control laws to become effective July 1st. Another example of defiance of a law that the sheriffs has deemed unenforceable and unconstitutional.
Eric Holder, the attorney general, stated recently that some immigration law. I cannot recall which immigration law he stated he would not enforce. I think it had something to do with the deportation of illegal immigrants. Here the attorney general states that he will not enforce a law.
More and more drivers are disregarding the laws of stopping for red lights and scooting through them and causing unsafe situations.
The trend today seems to be, if you don't like a law or you do not think it applies to you, it can be disregarded and that is ok. How far is this disregard going to go?

Does Obama want us to be depended on countries that hate us?
The administration strikes again by cutting back on oil shale development. After reading this article obama-administration-cuts-back-oil-shale-development I wonder does Obama and his administration have any concern about our energy independence?
The Keystone pipeline is on an undetermined hold for real reasons I have never heard about. Now another monkey wrench is thrown in front of oil shale development. The article does not give any real reason for their decision.. The longer we wait the more we become dependent on countries that really don't like us. I just don't understand why it appears that this administration is attempting to block all oil and energy development.
The only development the have not blocked is the Bakken development in North Dakota. This development is being done on private land and this administration has not figured out a way to block this development. It will be interesting to see what they come up with to block or slow down this tool to energy independence.

So many issues to comment on
- I am one of the many that don't trust newspapers and main stream news. I guess I am not the only one. Many do not trust news outlets I haven't trusted the so call trusted news media since the 2000 presidential election. The news coverage on this election showed me how slanted that newspapers and broadcast news sources are.
- How will the John Morse recall in Colorado come out? John Morse recall signatures Gun control is a big issue in Colorado and many common citizens are starting to become involved. Many times I think Colorado is the next California. We have a liberal governor, two liberal senators and Denver has a liberal Congress person. The next election will tell if Colorado starts to return to a conservative state or becomes more like California.
- I go to many of these restaurants restaurants respect the 2nd Amendment I don't carry a firearm or intend to carry one. However, I don't want to lose that right if I so chose to carry one. In my opinion all these new gun control laws are just taking freedoms of law abiding citizens away and not doing very much for the violence in this country. Why does violent movies and video games get a pass?
What does Gov Hickenlooper say to Magpul employees?
After reading this article in the Washington times about a Magpul promotion,
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jun/18/magpul-offers-soon-be-illegal-weaponry-colo-gun-bu/
I wonder what the Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper would say to the 200 Colorado workers that will lose their jobs when Magpul moves their facilities to another state.
I am sure he will put some kind of spin on what he says so that it don't make him look that he intentionally signed the bill into law that made them lose their jobs.
I will be surprised if Hickenlooper runs for re-election that he would be re-elected. His gun control agenda and the reprieve of the Chuckie Cheese killer has hit his popularity hard.

Real Clear Politics Polls
Everyone has a poll. You can get a poll from Rasmussen, CNN, ABC, Fox, literally there are hundreds of polls. The poll I like is Real Clear Politics This is an average poll of all the other polls. All polls can be slanted by the way the question is asked. With the Real Clear Politics polls these slants are reduced somewhat because it is a combination of left leaning polls and right leaning polls. I am sure there is some fall back to this method but at the present time I believe the polls from Real Clear Politics more than any other polls available

I Like Drudge
Newspapers are dying a slow death for many reasons. The main reason is by the time the paper is printed and delivered or picked up the news is old. Also most of the papers lean left and their news are slanted to fix that agenda.
I stopped depending on the main stream news media during the presidential election of 2000. I was undecided on Al Gore and wanted to get some information on George Bush. Since I was accustomed to getting my news from ABC, NBC, and CBS. I quickly noticed that the news coverage was filled with events Al Gore was doing with him speaking and campaigning. As a sideline they by chance mentioned that George Bush was someplace with no highlights of him speaking or anything.
After that I went searching for additional news sources and found the cable news giant Fox News and stumbled upon drudgereport.com/ The Drudge Report gives you all kinds of links to news sources and this can broaden your information hunger for news from many sources and receiving different outlooks and reporting from many sources.
Now, every morning I go to Drudge Report and find out what is happening in the world. I don't even waste my time watching broadcast TV news media. They have become so biased and selective on what they report I feel they are dying a slow death along with the printed newspaper.

Just Opinions
This blog is going to be just opinions I have about various topics. I also have a twitter account, however, sometimes it is difficult to express my opinion in 140 characters or less. https://twitter.com/2_tts
I have just as much right to express my First Amendment freedom as anybody else. Until that is taken away I will continue to use that freedom all Americans have and many take this freedom for granted. With all the NSA, IRS, DHS, DOJ and other issues I can't remember presently, I am concerned about the attacks on The Constitution and many of our freedoms that many take for granted and do not see the possible threats on these freedoms.

A Brief Bio
Since I am going to do so blogging from this site, I should give a brief bio of myself.
I was born in Denver Colorado prior to Dec 7, Pearl Harbor. I lived in the same home until I graduated from high school in 1960.
After high school I went to work for the builder of the Titan I missile manufactured near Denver.
I was drafted into the army in 1964 and spent fifteen months in Germany near Nuremburg and Darmstadt. When returning to Denver I served two more years in the Army reserve with a unit located in The Rocky Mountain Arsenal near Denver.
I returned to the manufacturer of the Titan missile systems and worked there for an additional year and then was a victim of a layoff and my aerospace career was over
At that time I went to work for a distributor of RCA. The main products were TV's and VCR's. I worked in various management capacities until 1987 when at that time thirteen distribution warehouses were closed across the nation.
For a period of about four years I worked in various part time positions and was unable to find full time work because unemployment at that time was around seven percent. Also, most of my skills were learned on the job and my marketable skills were narrow. In addition to the above I was in my middle forties and there is age discrimination out there even it is suppose to be against the law.
I finally obtained a full time job in a manufacturing atmosphere and learned to use a laser system for micro machining of substances used in the electronics manufacturing industry.
Iworked there until 2006 and decided to retire and try new and different challenges that I did not have the time to attempt and could not afford to try these dreams
Since that time I have been trying different endeavors. I first started to blog at a site called YourHub.com. This was a site sponsored by The Rocky Mountain News and I really enjoyed the format they had. However, a good thing does not last for ever. The Rocky Mountain News went out of business and The Denver Post took over YourHub.com. It took them about a year to change it so that it was not a good fit for me.
I then started a blog at Associated Content. This was a Denver .com and after a period of time Yahoo.com purchased Associated Content. After that I just lost interest in blogging for this structure.
Somehow I stumbled across Wordpress.com and started blogging there. I still occasionally blog on this site attempting to expose internet scams since I get many emails that sounds suspicious and you know they are just trying to get some personal information from you.
During that time frame I also found Blurb.com and have published around five books covering travels, blogging, and photos.
This site will be used for other subjects. I was raised in a Democrat environment and was a registered Democrat many years of my life. I then became unaffiliated because I lost interest in politics and I did not agree much with the policies of the Democrat Party. During the 2000 presidential campaign I came to the realization how the main stream media is biased to the liberal or progressive agenda. I suddenly realized that my thoughts and ideology lean to the conservative side of the spectrum. For close to twenty years I was in a management position and had to deal with the profit and loss of an active arm of a corporation. This experience help mold my conservative leanings and help me realize that many factors such as government intrusion make it difficult for a business to be viable and profitable.
The topics on this blog will more than likely be my opinions on current events and politics.
I don't how long it will be blogging on this site. I noticed that the older I get the shorter the time frame becomes before I lose interest in things.
In conclusion, time will tell how long I enter new blogs to this site.
